19 SEPTEMBER 2014:
ROAD CLOSURE LIFTED AT JACK’S LANE WIND FARM

The temporary road closure of the Burnham Road (C479) has come to an end following the completion of some required minor road improvement works in preparation for turbine delivery.

Part of Burnham Road and the adjoining highway directed south east have been closed to traffic on week days and evenings since February. A second shorter closure will be required in late 2014/early 2015 once the turbines have been erected in order to restore some of the widening works to their previous state as per instruction from Norfolk County Council. You can keep up to date on the timescale of this second closure by checking back on this project website.

Please note that though the C479 is now open for public access; during the turbine delivery period there will be points when brief traffic management measures will be required to ensure the safety of all road users. This may mean vehicles are stopped for a matter of minutes to allow for the turning of large load delivery vehicles off the B1454 Fakenham Road.
